If you follow me on Instagram, you might know it was my birthday last week. I’m always up in the Cotswolds it’s one of favourites places but I’d never stayed at the White Hart Royal Hotel. I wanted to stay somewhere new for my birthday and after a quick google, we decided on the White Hart Royal Hotel in Moreton in Marsh. It’s a historic 17th-century coaching inn with two lounges, a courtyard restaurant and an old bar downstairs with fireplaces.
We got the deluxe twin room and when I first walked into the room I loved the interior. All of the colours went perfectly together and I’m sure you’re nodding in agreement if you look at the photos above! The hotel has such an old vibe to it but the rooms are so modern which I really like. Inside the room was bathrobes and slippers, a blanket on the bed (they must have known I was coming), complimentary products left in the bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. They have so many other rooms available which you can see here. The hotel had free wifi which is every bloggers dream!
Things to do
The White Hart Royal Hotel is only a short walk away from the train station and the hotel is in the centre of Moreton in Marsh town. Every Tuesday is a market which is nice to walk around in and there’s lots of shops to look around in like homeware shops and there’s a few coffee shops. There’s also an Ask down the road which I really recommend if you’re ever around that area. Moreton in Marsh isn’t far away from Oxford so you can go into the centre and do some shopping. I should get round to doing some sort of Cotswold places to visit post!
The bathroom was really bright and the first thing that caught my eye was the bath. Luckily I bought a Lush bath bomb with me so I was able to chill out in the evening! Above the sink was a mirror that lit up which made doing my makeup in the morning very easy. If any of you have stayed in hotels in the Cotswolds before then let me know which ones you’d recommend! As much as I enjoyed my few nights away, it was so cold. If you’re counting down the days until summer like me and also planning some sunny holidays not just weekends away to places in the UK, you might want to check out Holiday Gems. I’ve been having a look on there recently and I’m having huge summer throwbacks.
Don’t forget to let me know what hotels you’d recommend in the UK!
