I hope you all had a lovely Christmas or holiday whatever you celebrate. I know I definitely turned into an actual pig in a blanket after all the food and I still can’t believe it’s all over for another year. My previous What I Got For Christmas post is one of my most popular posts to date so you lot clearly love reading them! I know there’s sometimes a lot of negativity surrounding what I got for Christmas posts but personally I love reading them so I’m not going to do the usual disclaimer because I wanted to do this post and if you’re the type who hates seeing what others got, I doubt you have clicked onto this post anyway!
I’ll start off by saying I’m so grateful for everything I received for Christmas – my family and friends definitely know me well! It’s always easier being a blogger when a family member asks you what you want for Christmas because we all usually have a list of makeup we want as long as our arms anyway so take your pick really! Starting off with the most exciting side of things, the makeup, can we just appreciate how gorgeous the Too Faced Chocolate palette is? All of these products I’ll be reviewing in detail soon once I’ve given everything a proper try so I won’t go into too much detail on each one. As you can see all the shades are so pretty and there are lots of glittery shades which I love! The whole palette smells of chocolate too which is a bonus – I’ve already got my eyes on the new peach one!
A girl can never have too many palettes so along with that I had the Charlotte Tilbury Palette in Uptown Girl. I love the bottom left shade as it’s very sparkly and perfect for the inner corner of your eye to brighten up the area. You can create so many looks with this palette and anything by Charlotte Tilbury you know is going to be amazing!
Along with that, my go-to brow product is Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow and I’ve been using it for years every single day. I was in need of another one as I was running out so this was an absolute life saver! No way was I going to go a day without doing my brows! One of my best friends got me a lipstick from the new Mac collection by Mariah Carey in the shade ‘Dahhlinggg!’ – she knows me very well because the packaging is right up my street. It’s a Cremesheen lipstick so it’s really creamy and easy to apply. You can see the whole collection here if you haven’t already!
Onto some skincare – Pixi is a brand I’ve wanted to try for so long but never got round to it. One thing I want to do this year is use up lots of products I already own and be a bit more adventurous when it comes to trying new skincare products. I was so happy when I opened this set – I can’t seem to find it online anywhere so perhaps it was a one off Christmas set. The packaging is gorgeous and you really do feel like a new woman after using these! My skin felt so soft and I’ve been using them pretty much everyday since.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without some Lush products, especially the classic Snow Fairy scent, so the Father Christmas bath bomb and Candy Mountain bubble bar are both the perfect products. They’re currently in a basket in my room and my whole room smells like Lush right now!
I also had the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water because it’s always handy to have in my skincare collection especially when the winged liner goes wrong in the morning and you’re rushing around trying not to be late but don’t want to leave the house without your flicks looking perfect.. nothing worse honestly. I was also after a new makeup setting spray to try so I can’t wait to try out the Maybelline one fully!
Another gift from Charlotte Tilbury was the Legendary Eyes Kit. Inside the cute little bauble is a eyeliner and mascara which is the perfect little kit. The products aren’t full sized either so once you take them out of the bauble it’s so much easier to carry around with you. I’m a huge lover of Real Technique brushes and I’m always wanting to try any new sets so this one looks good to try. I’ve wanted a new perfume for ages – the Vera Wang Princess smells so good and I’ve been wearing it non stop recently.
Of course every girl loves nothing more than brand new pretty underwear! Now that Cardiff have a Victoria Secret I’ve been in there quite a lot and done some serious damage, but I absolutely loved opening these on Christmas Day along with a few matching bras too. They’re all very pretty and I love the lace detailing. You know when your bra and underwear matches and you suddenly feel like you’ve got your life together and you can do anything? Yeah that.
Onto clothing, I did get some really cute pajamas which I didn’t photograph because it was quite hard to fit them all in along with the cutest mermaid blanket – I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of both! But I can show you the cutest jumper ever from InTheStyle, it says ”cute but crazy” which I love! It’s from the Billie Faiers range and ever since I met Billie at the Clothes Show last year I’ve wanted to try more clothing from her range. She was so lovely and I absolutely love the collection! If you like the look of this jumper and fancy being twins, it’s currently £9.99 in the sale so go go go!
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a few DVDs would it?! If you didn’t know already, Towie is my absolute guilty pleasure so when I opened the box set I just knew I’m going to be spending a lot of time on the sofa watching it! The Holiday is also a film I’ve wanted to see for a while so I can’t wait to give this a watch.
My mum got me a subscription to Birchbox and her words were ”I thought it would be good so you could try lots of new products and blog about them” – cuteee! In this box there was actually a lot of good products including a Bobbi Brown mascara, Ciate eyeliner, a body lotion, Elemis Night Cream and Benefit’s Puff Off. I hadn’t tried any of these products before and it’s such a good way to try new brands. I can’t wait for the other boxes now!
I also had this purple/blue Radley purse – I love the little dog on the front and I thought this was perfect for a lot of things. I love the little Victoria Secret one too and I’m thinking I could either keep pens in there, lip glosses when I’m out and keep it in my bag or even hair clips and bobbles because I’m forever losing mine!
Last but not least, it’s a must to have chocolate and lots of cosy socks, right?! Unfortunately I can’t show you all the chocolate because it went a long time ago! I think I even ate it all on Christmas Day.. but oh well!
That’s it for my What I Got For Christmas post – I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got and I love every single thing I received. If you’ve done this post make sure you leave a link below as I’d love to see what you got because I’m nosy like that!
