As you’re reading this, I’m currently packing for my holiday tomorrow which is rather difficult because as a girl I pretty much want to take my whole bedroom with me! Falsies, a million holiday clothes…I mean, how many bikinis does one girl need?! Obviously it’s not possible to bring it all so I really wish I had a ‘Things To Pack For Holiday’ post to read which leads me onto where the idea of this post came from. This things to pack for holiday post is split into three sections which are makeup, skincare and lifestyle so let’s get straight into it.
I won’t go into depth of each product as I have two posts coming your way very soon – one of which is my drugstore favourite makeup products and the other is a high end more expensive makeup favourites. All I will say though, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer… oh my… what a highlight! If you want your highlight on point, I highly suggest you go out and get this!
I love going to Boots and having a browse at all the mini travel products to take away on holiday so that’s exactly what I did on the weekend. It’s such a good way to try out new products and see if you like it without having to pay the full price for them. I get the Avene Water Spray every year for the summer and it’s an absolute godsend. It was my best friend when the sudden heatwave hit the UK.. it’ll honestly change your life! A must is my Eylure lashes along with my favourite perfume at the minute New Look Pure Blush. If you’re looking for a Chanel Mademoiselle dupe, definitely go and check out this perfume. Some new hair care products I’m taking away with me are the Charles Worthington Sun Protection shampoo and conditioner. I can’t find it online at Boots so perhaps they only do the mini sizes in store.
Another two favourites for the sun – Garnier Protective Oil and Hawaiian Spray Oil. These two are quite similar in terms of both being oils and they help protect the skin in the sun. A new mini I tried was the Batiste Floral Dry Shampoo and it’s incredible. It adds so much volume to the hair and is perfect for everyday use. I know I’ll be using this a lot on holiday! To help keep up the tan, Loccitane Shea Body Cream does the job. It’s not the cheapest but it smells incredible and you get a lot of product inside.
There are a few other essentials I forgot to include such as my bigger camera Nikon L840 and the smaller Canon sx600 HS as I’d like to take some outfit pictures and holiday pictures for Instagram. I also forgot my phone which I will be taking with me but I obviously won’t be on it much.
Me and my mum are huge bookworms on holiday. I love nothing more than sitting by the pool reading a good book and sipping on a cold drink.. that’s something I’m really looking forward to! I’m taking much more than two books on holiday with me but I’m currently reading Charlotte Crosby’s Me Me Me one. It’s so funny and honest, she really has no filter on what she says! My favourite books to read are more drama or crime related. I love a gripping book with plenty of twists and drama so I’ve got plenty of those to get stuck into!
If you read my What’s In My Bag post which you can read here, you would have seen my New Look Sunglasses already. An obvious favourite of mine would have to be the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit – we all know how much I like a contour and highlight! Whenever I feature the above ”there’s no such thing as too many lipsticks” makeup bag on Twitter (bethxlouisex) or Snapchat (bethxlouisex), I always get asked where it’s from so I thought I’d put it on here. It’s from homesense however I can’t guarantee it’ll still be there as they are constantly switching up the store but there’s always cute bits so definitely keep your eye out.
