Chanel at Christmas

Last Christmas, Chanel completely hit the nail on the head when it came to Christmas gifts. There’s something about Chanel that would make anyone extremely happy to open on Christmas Day, especially with the gorgeous packaging. I thought I would round up the Chanel products I’m lucky enough to own, and give you a little rundown on my thoughts. If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while, you may or may not remember that I did indeed have more lip products than the above featured. I don’t know where the heck they’ve gone, but after I write this post I’m off to have a search in my handbags as I’m putting money on them being in there somewhere!

Chanel is one of them brands that you know is going to be well worth the money, even if half of it is for the amazing packaging. I’m going to be honest, the amount of times I’ve stared at the lipsticks when I first had it was insane.

There is a story behind why I haven’t photographed the other lipstick so be prepared. In the Summer, I stupidly left it outside on the table. Yes, you read that right. I left my brand new Chanel lipstick out in the boiling hot sun. Little did I know, it would obviously melt. I mean, it’s common sense really isn’t it? When I went back out a few hours later, the lipstick was a melted mess on the table.. My exact words were ‘oh shittttt’.. and I literally wanted to cry. Luckily, I managed to restore some of its shape by leaving it in the fridge for hours on end but I thought I’d save you the photograph as it doesn’t look very luxury!

The two lipsticks I have which I can actually find are Rose Comete and Boy. I can’t pick a favourite because both colours are gorgeous. Rose Comete is a sort of frosted pink shade and Boy is nude undertone lipstick with hints of pink in it making it more on the neutral side but very wearable with any type of makeup look. I also have the mascara which I had for my birthday back in February. After trying the mascara sample, I just had to get the full size because it was so amazing and I was thrilled to open this on my birthday. Last but not least, I think it was either my birthday or last Christmas I received the nail polish in the shade Pink Tonic. I’m not that much of a fan of nail polish and I never buy it for myself because I barely paint my nails. I’m absolutely crap at it, and I don’t have the patience to sit and do them, but I really love the colour pink and I have used it a few times when I can actually be bothered!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas tomorrow, there will be a post going up just to say a quick Merry Christmas as I can’t not wish you all one! If there’s one thing you’ve learnt from this post, please don’t leave Chanel lipsticks out in the sun, or any lipsticks for that matter!
