As much as all things beauty hold a huge place in my heart, skincare isn’t one of them. I’ve stuck to the same skincare routine for years and I just don’t bother as much with my skin as I probably should do or stick to a strict skincare routine. I thought I’d share my current skincare favourites – some are old classics that have been my favourites for years, but one is a newbie that deserves a little mention.
Liz Earle is a brand I know very well. I’ve been using their Hot Cloth Cleanser for years and years. It’s the only cleanser I feel that removes every inch of makeup off my skin and gives me that ‘clean’ feeling you want after removing your makeup. The bottle is a genius – a pump. No mess and it’s very easy to use. I also love how you don’t waste product and you literally pump out however much you need. I remove the cleanser using the cloth provided when you buy the cleanser. It gets all the product off and you’re in control of it, rather than having water splashed all over your face. The cleanser lasts me a good 5 to 6 months and that’s using it both morning and night.
Another one of their products that I love is the Skin Repair Moisturiser which is the only moisturiser I have ever stuck with for years and years. I’ve gone through endless tubs of this stuff and I’ll admit I do have a little panic when I’m coming to the last few bits. My skin isn’t particularly oily or dry, it’s just in the middle. I don’t normally stick with a moisturiser because so many haven’t agreed with my skin or have given me breakouts but I’ve never had that problem with this moisturiser.
Last but definitely not least, a newbie which deserves a mention – Sanctuary 5min Thermal Detox Mask. This is literally heaven in a packet. Why had I not tried a thermal face mask before I shall never know, but they are by far my favourite type of face mask. My skin hasn’t been the best as I had my brows shaped and tinted recently, and as my skin is so sensitive and I hadn’t really had them waxed before, my skin really wasn’t used to it. I had a few really painful under the skin type spots – you know the really annoying ones that you can’t see but you know they’re there because they are so painful? I do believe this mask helped dry the spots (sounds gross I know), but it’s true. I truly felt like I was in a spa when I had this on in the bath – my skin felt so warm and nice that I didn’t want to take it off! I’m even thinking of buying the full size bottle.
That pretty much sums up my skincare favourites at the minute, I’d love to know some of your favourites.
